"The practice of hatha yoga is not meant to burn calories;

it is to make your body flexible and to strengthen your respitory, circulatory, and nervous systems. It is to help you expand your stamina and boost your immune system. It is to detoxify your body and to nurture the organs that are constantly working to nourish your body and mind." - Swami Rama

Intro to Ayurveda and the Doshas: We are living in a time where we are bombarded with "eat this," "do this," and "try this" for better health messages.  It's so confusing - how do you know what your body needs?  We are all different - Ayurveda recognizes the difference and offers an intuitive approach that gives you insights to help you learn more about your bodies unique blueprint for health.  The Ayurvedic Doshas are the key to unlocking your specific mind and body constitution – what you are made of.  When you learn what your body is made of  - you are able to achieve better balance in your health. This will be an introduction to the idea of Ayurveda and Doshas. The 3 doshas are: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha – you may find yourself to be a combination of one or two, or even be tri-doshic with an equal mix of all 3!

Format: Lecture - Handout Provided.

Registration is available through Jai Dee in Osseo - click FIND OUT MORE below.

Yoga is for Every Body

Whether you are just beginning your journey with yoga or a veteran  practitioner you are welcome in my classes.  Classes are designed to  suit all levels and all body types - breath and body awareness are emphasized.

Relax, Restore, Breathe

Classes are not focused on fitness - though fitness can be a by-product of the yoga practice, my classes are designed to help you slow down, find your breath, and relax. Easing stress and replenishing your energy.

Calm Your Mind

"The quality of the breath is directly related to the quality of the mind." Focusing on the breath, making it softer, quieter - leads to a quiet, peaceful mind. All of my classes are designed to keep you in your body and focused on the quality of the breath.
