Gina Miranda - Mayan Daykeeper
Gina Miranda is a Mayan calendar keeper (Ajkin) or keeper of the days.
She was born in Mesoamerica, and at the age of 11 was trained by an old shaman in the mysteries of the calendar.
The calendar has 13 wheels, and currently the day keepers are working to bring back the codes.
The Mayan Day Keepers cannot be paid, and they must spend a lot of time fine tuning themselves to receive the codes.
The Genocide of all the Native American Nations greatly affected the Mayan libraries which were burned to the ground, except for one Volume.
Even though Gina was hugely successful as a librarian, programmer and computer analyst, she was called to continue the work of the Day Keeper.
She was a key advisor to the current exhibit at the Science Musuem, Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed, Exhibit of Mayan Constellation, at Hartford Museum in Connecticut, as well as multiple seminars at St Catherine University, St Cloud State University, &the Women Spiritualty Conferences at Mankato State University.
She is the author of four books, including "Journey of the First Americans", "A Matter of Chulel (the Soul)", " The Lost Knowledge of the Mayan Calendar. "
